Hydrometers for Forklift Batteries
A hydrometer is an instrument used to measure the specific gravity or density of a lead acid battery. It consists of a weighted float and a calibrated scale. When the hydrometer is placed in a liquid, the float will rise or sink depending on the liquid’s density.
By reading the scale at the liquid’s surface, you can determine its specific gravity of the electrolyte or potential alcohol content. Hydrometers are commonly used in warehouses which use battery electric forklifts and in industries like brewing, winemaking, and automotive maintenance.
